0.2% of people vaccinated with both doses, confirmed

4,363 people became infected with SARS-CoV2 after immunization with two doses of vaccine, representing 0.2% of all people vaccinated with both doses, from the start of the vaccination campaign on December 27 to May 9, according to a report of the National Center for Surveillance and Control of Communicable Diseases.

Also, 22,911 people (0.6% of all people vaccinated with the first dose) had a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the first dose of vaccine. People infected after vaccination were tested positive, most often at 12-14 days after immunization.

Situation of confirmed persons with SARS-CoV-2 infection after vaccination on May 9, 2021

10.8% of the total number of people tested between December 27, 2020 – May 9, 2021 were vaccinated persons. Of these, only 44.3% had a positive SARS-CoV-2 virus infection test.

Confirmation by dose 1

Between December 27, 2020 – May 9, 2021, a number of 22,911 people (0.6% of all people vaccinated with the first dose) had a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the first dose of vaccine. 68.3% of them were vaccinated with Pfizer Biontech, 6.3% were vaccinated with Moderna and 25.4% were vaccinated with Astra Zeneca.

The time elapsed from the date of vaccination to the date of confirmation shows that:

  • 26.7% of people were confirmed in the first 7 days after vaccination
  • 65.1% * of people were confirmed in the first 14 days after vaccination
  • 86.6% * of people were confirmed in the first 21 days after vaccination
  • 92.3% * of people were confirmed in the first 28 days after vaccination
  • 7.7% of people did not show up for the second dose and were confirmed more than 28 days after the first dose

The median time from the first dose to the date of confirmation was 14 days.
11,041 people (48.2%), who were confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the first dose of vaccine, performed until May 9, 2021 and the second dose.

Of these:

  • 496 people took the second dose in the first 14 days after confirmation of the disease
  • 5,313 people took the second dose in the first month * (* includes people in the first category) (30 days) after confirmation of the disease
  • 5,728 people took the second dose more than 30 days after confirmation of the disease (between 31 -120 days)

Between December 27, 2020 – May 9, 2021, a number of 414 people (1.8% of all people who had a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the first dose of vaccine) died. Of these, 336 (81.2%) were vaccinated with Pfizer, 44 (10.6%) with Moderna and 34 (8.2%) with Astra Zeneca.
None of the deaths were due to vaccination.

Confirmation after dose 2

Between December 27, 2020 – May 9, 2021, a number of 4,363 people (0.2% of all people vaccinated with dose 2) had a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, after the administration of the second dose of vaccine . 94.1% of them were vaccinated with Pfizer Biontech, 3.1% were vaccinated with Moderna and 2.8% with Astra Zeneca.

The time elapsed from the date of the second dose vaccination to the date of confirmation shows that:

  • 28.2% of people were confirmed in the first 7 days after vaccination
  • 40.4% * (cumulative percentage) of people were confirmed in the first 14 days after vaccination
  • 46.4% * of people were confirmed in the first 21 days after vaccination
  • 51.5% * of people were confirmed in the first 28 days after vaccination
  • 48.5% of people (2,116 cases) were confirmed more than 28 days after the second dose

The median time from the second dose to the date of confirmation was 33 days.
Between December 27, 2020 – May 9, 2021, a total of 74 people (1.7% of all people who had a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the second dose of vaccine) occurred death. Of these, 71 (95.9%) were vaccinated with Pfizer and 3 (4.1%) with Moderna.
None of the deaths were due to vaccination.

In the last 2 weeks (April 26 – May 9, 2021)

7.7% of the total confirmed persons with SARS-CoV-2 infection after vaccination between December 27, 2020 – May 9, 2021, were reported in the last 2 weeks.
Confirmation by dose 1.
In the last 2 weeks (April 26 – May 9, 2021), a number of 1,596 people had a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the first dose of vaccine. 75.1% of them were vaccinated with Pfizer Biontech, 8.3% were vaccinated with Moderna and 16.6% were vaccinated with Astra Zeneca.
The time elapsed from the date of vaccination to the date of confirmation shows that:

  • 23.3% of people were confirmed in the first 7 days after vaccination
  • 62.7% * of people were confirmed in the first 14 days after vaccination
  • 82.3% * of people were confirmed in the first 21 days after vaccination
  • 86.5% * of people were confirmed in the first 28 days after vaccination
  • 13.5% of people did not show up for the second dose and were confirmed more than 28 days after the first dose
  • (* cumulative percentage)

The median time from the first dose to the date of confirmation was 12 days.

During this period, a number of 13 people (0.8%), who were confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the first dose of vaccine, performed until May 9, 2021 and the second dose.
All 13 people took the second dose in the first 14 days after confirmation of the disease.

Confirmation after dose 2

In the last 2 weeks (April 26 – May 9, 2021), a number of 503 people had a positive test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection after receiving the second dose of vaccine. 80.9% were vaccinated with Pfizer Biontech, 4.4% were vaccinated with Moderna and 14.7% with Astra Zeneca.
The time elapsed from the date of the second dose vaccination to the date of confirmation shows that:

  • 16.7% of people were confirmed in the first 7 days after vaccination
  • 29% * of people were confirmed in the first 14 days after vaccination
  • 36.6% * of the persons were confirmed in the first 21 days after confirmation
  • 42.3% * of the persons were confirmed in the first 28 days after confirmation
  • 57.7% of individuals (290 cases) were confirmed more than 28 days after the second dose

The median time from the second dose to the date of confirmation was 35 days.
