The statue of General Jeon Bong-jun in the battlefield of Hwangto-hyeon, Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do, is demolished after 34 years.
It was a decision made before verse 3·1.
Because it was a sculpture made by a pro-Japanese artist, I could not avoid pointing out that it was a second offense to history and people.
This is Kim Min-seong.

This is a picture of General Jeon Bong-joon who was sent as a criminal in February 1895.
Even though he is dressed in a topcoat, he is alive as long as his eyes look.
However, the statue that was modeled after it was a controversy.
It means that the face and body are out of harmony.

In addition, I even wrote the stigma that it was made by a pro-Japanese writer.
This is the statue of Bong-Jun Jeon who became a problem.
On the back is the name of the statue maker and representative pro-Japanese sculptor Kim Kyung-seung.
Born in Kaesong in 1915, Kim Kyung-seung graduated from Tokyo Art School.
After returning to Korea, he was also listed in the’Pro-Japanese Dictionary’ for his bold pro-Japanese activities, such as working as a councilor of the Joseon Artists Association, a pro-Japanese organization.
After liberation, he made a statue of Kim Gu, Baekbeom in Namsan Park in Seoul, and a statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin in Yongdusan Park, Busan, but in the end, the evaluation of future generations could not be returned.

The city of Jeongeup decided to demolish the statue of Bong-jun Jeon made by Gyeong-seung Kim, and is discussing alternatives with the Cultural Heritage Administration as to which sculpture to create on the spot.
