Brazilian soccer emperor Pelé, who is battling colon cancer, is said to have gathered at the hospital where he is being treated as his health has recently deteriorated.
Pele’s daughter Kelly Nacimentu posted on social media a photo of her bedridden father in an embrace: “We will continue to be together in this fight for faith, just one more night together.”
Pele’s son Edson Cholby Nacimentu shared a photo of his father holding his hand.
The 82-year-old Pelé was diagnosed with cancer in August last year and underwent surgery.
Citing comments from medical staff, a media outlet reported that Pele’s condition had worsened and chemotherapy was no longer effective.
