Samsung Electronics launched’Galaxy Buzz Live’, which is equipped with ANC for the first time, to compete with’AirPod Pro’ last year. However, Galaxy Buds Live was produced as an open product, so users did not see the effect of the ANC function properly.

The ANC function was still insufficient compared to the AirPods Pro, but it was a level that could be fully utilized in practical use. In addition, in terms of safety, the ANC function of the Galaxy Buds Pro is expected to be evaluated as better.
The ambient sound tolerance mode was also divided into four stages: △Small △Normal △Loud △Very large, and the difference could be clearly distinguished step by step. ◇ “AI detects user’s voice”… ANC/ambient sound allowable automatic switching

The conversation detection function is a function that automatically switches the ambient sound permission mode by the earphones detecting the user’s voice. The conversation detection function the reporter used was more sensitive and working better than I thought. Even if the user sings along with the song while listening to music, the earphones recognize it as a conversation and switch to the ambient sound permission mode.
When it comes to call quality, the Galaxy Buds Pro showed a better appearance than the AirPods Pro. When I made a phone call through the Galaxy Buds Pro at the restaurant, the voice of the call was clearer than that of the AirPods Pro, and there was no difficulty in talking while wearing a mask.
In the case of AirPods Pro, it has been pointed out that the end of the phone is shorter than the previous AirPods, resulting in poor call quality among users. Previously, Samsung Electronics explained that in Unpack, the voice pickup sensor detects the user’s voice, and the external microphone minimizes external noise and only amplifies the user’s voice.
In addition, in terms of fit, the Galaxy Buds Pro is improved over the Galaxy Buds Plus, which is similar to the Galaxy Buds Pro. The Galaxy Buds Plus was able to fix the wing tip inside the auricle, but it suffered inconvenience when worn for a long time. However, the Galaxy Buds Pro improved the fit by matching the shape of the ear without the wing tip.
Until now, Apple’s AirPods series has been a dominant player in the wireless earphone market. However, it is expected that Samsung Electronics could threaten the position of AirPods through the Galaxy Buds Pro. In terms of price, the Galaxy Buds Pro is 230,000 won, which is about 90,000 won cheaper than the AirPods Pro (329,000 won).
