The LG Twins have announced that they have decided not to renew their contract with manager Ryu Ji-hyun.
Director Ryu Ji-hyun thanked the fans, saying he would be leaving after receiving a lot of love.
He also apologized for not keeping his promise to win.
Ji-hyeon Ryu, a former franchise star who spent 29 years at LG on his own as a coach and manager, has won 159 regular season wins over the past two years leading the team and posted a win rate of 0.585.
However, they failed to advance to the Korean series by losing to Kiwoom in the playoffs where they finished second in the regular season this year.
