Unification activist Paik Ki-wan passed away at the age of 89.
Condolences from all walks of life continued.
Colleagues couldn’t hide their sadness, saying that they seemed to have lost their family when the deceased, who had been thrown into the progressive movement for a long time, left.

The late Ki-wan Baek, director of the Institute for Unification Studies, smiles cheerfully in black and white photos in Yeongjeong.
After the Lunar New Year holidays, he died at Seoul National University Hospital.
89 years old.
After being hospitalized for pneumonia since January of last year, the illness worsened after fighting the disease.

It is said that his will was left behind because his energy was weak.
The last post left in the midst of the struggle was the four letters of’Nonamegi’, a Korean word written by the deceased during his lifetime.
It is a word that contains the thought of the deceased, meaning’Let’s work together and live right.’
