Our coverage confirmed that the Board of Audit and Inspection had extensively collected the calendar year train records of the audited entities in the audit process of government-funded institutions.
Among these goals was Kim Je-nam, president of the Korea Atomic Energy Safety Foundation, who had previously been appointed by the Moon Jae-in administration. President Kim was recently pressured by People’s Power Rep Kwon Seong-dong to step down during a recent state audit.
It is noted that if the Inspection and Control Commission, which can only inspect public officials, collects civilian data, it is highly likely that it is illegal.

The audit on the excessive defense of the National Assembly took place yesterday.
People’s power representative Kwon Seong-dong has lobbied hard on the resignation of Kim Je-nam, president of the Korea Atomic Energy Safety Foundation, who was appointed at the end of the Moon Jae-in administration.

However, as a result of the MBC coverage, it was confirmed that the Review and Inspection Board had received the details on the use of the train from President Kim Je-nam.
The Board of Audit and Inspection has asked related organizations to provide the entire train history for 7,100 public officials since 2017, including President Kim.
President Kim Je-nam took over the foundation’s work in February of this year.
However, the review and inspection commission collected all five years and nine months of records from January 2017 to September this year.
Not only the period of work at the Blue House of the last government was presented, but also all personal documents when he was a member of the Justice Party or a civilian.
Although the data was presented under the name of “management management audits,” it was claimed that it was actually used to pressure former government officials to step down.
