Former professional basketball player Kim Seung-hyun (42) was handed over to trial for not repaying the 100 million won he had borrowed from a long-time acquaintance, and was sentenced to one year and June in prison.

After the trial was over, Kim Seung-hyun said in a telephone interview, “Today the judge did not know that he had paid all the money. The trial ended quickly because no lawyer appeared on the other side. There will be a sentence on the 23rd of this month.”
In this regard, CEO Seung-Hyun Kim said, “It is true that there were some misunderstandings and complications in the process, but I paid all the money and sent a text saying I’m sorry. The other person is an old acquaintance, so I feel heavier.”
He said, “As you know, athletes are only exercising, so they don’t know the world well and are naive. It would be a bigger problem if you borrowed that money to gamble or lavish, but try to do business… Also, this friend (Kim Seung-hyun) gave it to someone else. In fact, it is true that it is a bad economic situation.”
In particular, an acquaintance A’s lawyer claimed that “Kim Seung-hyun was regretful and sued for showing off his luxurious life through social media, without repaying the money, without a sign of regret.”
Regarding this, Seung-Hyun Kim said, “Wife is not famous, but she is a celebrity. As a result, there was a golf apparel company that paid some money and sponsored it. That’s why I went to the golf course and uploaded a related picture of wearing a golf suit on social media.”
Seung-Hyun Kim finally said, “I was scheduled to teach as an adjunct professor at the university, and there were some preparations, but there are some worries about these articles. I hope it will not be expanded any more, and I will live by looking back more carefully in the future.”
On the other hand, former basketball star Seung-Hyun Kim made a big success as the team’s leading guard and national team through the Orions and Seoul Samsung Thunders with excellent technicians. Korea played a part in defeating China and winning the gold medal in the ‘2002 Busan Asian Games’, which is considered one of the best matches.
