The’Severe’ stage of the forest fire disaster crisis warning that was issued in Andong, Yecheon, Hadong, and Yeongdong has been lowered to the’Caution’ stage as all forest fires have evolved.
However, with the winds getting stronger overnight and dry weather forecasts until the weekend, it seems necessary to stay alert to wildfires.

The red flames that cover the whole mountain are burning terribly.
In dry weather, hot winds overlaid the fire blow more than 2 km away, creating more fire.
Wildfires continued until night and became stronger.
When the situation was threatened, the first national forest fire disaster warning’severe’ stage was issued this year in Yecheon and Andong, Gyeongbuk, Hadong, Gyeongnam, and Yeongdong, Chungbuk.

All of the wildfires were caught, and the crisis warning stage was lowered from’Severe’ to’Caution’ by two.
But I can’t be relieved yet.
This is because a gust of over 25m per second was again announced on the east coast where a dry warning was issued overnight.
Here, dry weather will continue through the weekend, so the threat of wildfires will likely continue for some time.

The most common cause of wildfires is the actual fire of residents at 34%, followed by the incineration of rice paddies and fields and the incineration of garbage.
Therefore, it is possible to prevent forest fires simply by strictly limiting the inhabitants’ possession of fire and prohibiting the incineration of farms around the mountain.
With rain and snow falling across the country this holiday, the risk of wildfires is likely to ease briefly.
However, in Yeongdong and the east coast, where winter rainfall is less than 10% of the average year, thorough vigilance against wildfires is required until this spring.
