Disney declined Monster Boy’s new DuckTales Quackshot

Actually, it was supposed to be an April Fool’s joke, but the news from FDG Entertainment about a new game around DuckTales Quackshot also has a serious background: How Destructoid reports, the creators of Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom had actually presented the Disney group with a concept for a modern game with Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, which was rejected by the responsible parties – even though FDG according to their own information had done everything possible to earn the license.

Accordingly, on April 1, the artworks for the planned game were presented with a portion of melancholy and disappointment: “It would have been a shame to just bury the material”, so the statement in the Twitter post.

QuackShot originally appeared on the Sega Megadrive or Genesis, where Mickey Mouse is known to have left her mark in Castle of Illusion and, together with Donald Duck, in World of Illusion.
