Dozens of Russian soldiers were killed by Ukrainian missiles during the war.
As the voice of criticism grows inside Russia, President Putin is showing off a new weapon and attention is focused on the backstory.

Russia’s Defense Ministry cited the use of mobile phones as the cause of the tragedy, saying the death toll, which it said was 63, rose to 89 soon after the crash.
Many are said to have violated the no-mobile phone rule, revealing their location to the enemy.

In response, the deputy chairman of the Moscow Regional Council raised his critical voice, saying: “It is the commander who drove the soldiers into one place.”
A representative of the pro-Russian People’s Army of Donbass called it a “manslaughter crime” and warned that it would only get worse if no one was punished.
Amidst all of this, President Putin has displayed his power by loading hypersonic missiles, a new weapon said to be impossible to detect and defend, onto escort vessels.

There is also an analysis that Russia is trying to defuse domestic criticism by presenting the extent of the damage and the specific causes, followed by the display of new weapons.
