The first person infected with COVID-19 from the UK was found in Taiwan.
The Taiwan Pandemic Command Center says it has been confirmed that a boy who recently arrived from the UK has been infected with a mutant virus from the UK.
According to the center, the boy is currently experiencing some COVID-19 symptoms, but the overall condition is stable.
Taiwan raised the level of quarantine measures, and from January 1st, it was decided to completely ban foreigners who do not have a Taiwan residence card.
Also, starting on the 15th of the following month, the principle of intensive quarantine using designated facilities for quarantine of immigrants, but in case of self-isolation, only one person can stay in a house.
