China has announced that it will soon begin vaccinating Corona 19 with high-risk groups such as medical staff.

China’s deputy chief of the National Hygiene and Health Commission, Zeng Yi-shin, said in a briefing that the quarantine situation is getting worse as the winter temperature drops.

Deputy Chief Zeng said, “The goal is to control COVID-19 more effectively as soon as possible by forming a collective immunity with vaccination.”

He explained that priority groups exposed to infection risk, including healthcare, low-temperature distribution networks, customs, fresh food markets, and public transport workers, are the targets for vaccination.

In addition, he added that the target will be expanded to the general population following the elderly and those with underlying diseases who are at high risk of infection depending on the vaccine release situation.

Earlier, the Hong Kong South China Morning Post reported that China plans to vaccinate 50 million people, equivalent to the Korean population, with the Corona 19 vaccine ahead of the Lunar New Year move in February next year.
