[과학]World’s best’next-generation solar cell’ in Korea…

Solar cells are one of the representative fields of new and renewable energy.

Among solar cells, the world is focusing on the development of’next-generation solar cells’, which cost about 1/5 of the production cost and have high utilization.

However, a technology to greatly increase efficiency, which was a problem of next-generation solar cells, was first developed in Korea.

It is a solar cell that generates electricity by installing it on the exterior wall or roof of a building.

It is eco-friendly and economical, but the disadvantage is that the production process is difficult and the color and shape are difficult to change.

The global competition is fierce in the development of next-generation solar cells that overcome these problems and cost only 1/5 of the production cost.

The key is whether it can achieve the same high energy efficiency as conventional solar cells.

A domestic research team found the answer.

The research team drastically changed the structure of the two layers involved in solar absorption and electron transfer among the three layers that make up the next-generation solar cell.

Efficiency increased by over 25% by reducing internal structural defects and rearranging materials.

The research team believes that the commercialization of next-generation solar cells will be possible as the efficiency has been raised to a level similar to that of existing silicon solar cells.

This research achievement was selected as the cover paper of the world-class journal’Nature’.
