Xiaomi It was separated from the tablet segment since 2018 with the launch of the Mi Pad 4 and Mi Pad 4 Plus. Not having a new product of this style in so long, it was taken for granted that the Chinese giant had decided to completely abandon this niche. However, in recent weeks there have been multiple reports that suggest that the arrival of a new Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 line is imminent.
It seems that the industry has experienced a certain increase in the demand for tables in the midst of the current COVID 19 pandemic, considering usage scenarios such as online classes, multimedia enjoyment and games. With this in mind, the Chinese giant is looking to launch a series of tablets that offer high-end features and functions that boost productivity.

The latest information regarding the Mi Pad 5 series comes from the 3C certification body of China. Through this list it is revealed to us that the device will be equipped with a dual cell battery which will have a cumulative power of 8.520mAh. More specifically, each of the cells has a capacity of 4260mAh.

Super fast charging support
Separating a battery into two pieces is usually done when the company seeks integrate super fast charging technology. Therefore, the Mi Pad 5 is expected to offer a very powerful fast charging capability. Unfortunately, no more specific details have been provided on this section.
At least two versions
At the moment, Xiaomi has not yet officially revealed any details about the future flagship tablet. Anyway, thanks to rumors and leaks we know that it will arrive in at least two models: Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro. The standard variant is said to make use of the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, while the Pro version will integrate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870. The Mi Pad 5 Pro is said to be equipped with a Resolution IPS LCD screen 2K. It would also feature a refresh rate of 120Hz, a high tactile sampling of 240Hz Y 4096 touch pressure levels. This last feature would be exploited through a Mi Stylus stylus.
MIUI for Tablet
To culminate, the line would include MIUI for Tablet. This version would be developed specifically for tablets with features like a laptop PC mode and others.
