The current distance between the 2.5th stage of the existing metropolitan area and the second stage of the non-metropolitan area will be extended for two weeks from the day after tomorrow to the 17th.
This is a judgment that takes into account the fact that the strengthening of the distancing stage will have a greater impact on the economy of the common people, and that the quarantine and medical response capabilities have been maintained until now.
Instead, the ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people, which had been applied so far in the metropolitan area, will be extended nationwide.
As a result, not only 5 or more people gather in the restaurant, but also 5 or more people cannot meet at all private gatherings such as dinner parties and New Year’s parties.
However, if a family with the same living space is gathered or if a wedding or funeral is held, more than 5 people may gather.
However, even in this case, only 49 people are allowed in the metropolitan area where the distance is step 2.5, and 99 people are allowed in the area where the second step is implemented.
In addition, among the existing special measures for the year-end and New Year holidays, measures such as requiring non-face-to-face religious activities and allowing only package delivery after 9 pm at restaurants will be extended for two weeks.
Operation of winter sports facilities such as ski resorts is permitted, but limited to 1/3 of the capacity and must be closed after 9pm.
