The Spanish clothing chain Inditex, which owns the Zara and Bershka brands, expects to resume operations in Russia as soon as possible. “We want to resume operations as soon as circumstances allow. We are monitoring the situation and at the moment we cannot speculate on the potential impact of the shutdown in Russia, “said Inditex CEO Oscar Garcia Masseiras.
In early March, Inditex decided to suspend operations in Russia amid the war in Ukraine.
Inditex was founded by the Spaniard Amancio Ortega. The network has more than 7,000 stores in nearly 100 countries. Among the most famous Inditex brands are Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius and Oysho.
