Istanbul and Piraeus basketball players have become the first to win the decisive, fifth game of the series away from home. In the fifth matches of the previous 19 series, the home team was superior.

“Fenerbahce” defeated “Monaco” in the extra time with 80:79 (13:15, 22:25, 21:15, 14:15, 10:9) and reached 3-2 in the series up to three victories.

The victory for the “Fenerbahce” team was ensured by Nik Kalates, who made two long shots in the last 61 seconds, including the winning one 19 seconds before the final whistle.

Calates had 14 points, six rebounds and four assists in the game. Scotty Wilbekin also scored the same point, Tarik Biberovic added 13, and Marko Guduric had ten points.

For Monaco, Mike James had 20 points, Donat Motiejun – 16 points and seven rebounds, Elije Okobo – 15 points, and Alfo Diallo – ten points.

On the other hand, “Olympiacos” defeated the “Barcelona” team 63:59 (9:12, 16:15, 15:13, 23:19) on the road and won the series 3-2.

Shakil Makisik scored 12 points for the winners, Kostas Papanikolaus had 11 points, and Nikola Milutinov had ten points and ten rebounds.

Nicolas Laprovitola had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Barcelona team, while Alex Abrines had 13 points.

“Panathinaikos” of Athens won the series with 3-2 against “Maccabi” of Tel Aviv, and “Real” of Madrid beat “Baskonia” of Vitoria with 3-0.

In the ULEB Euroleague, 18 teams played a two-round tournament, the best six entered the elimination tournament, while the seventh to tenth place winners secured a place in the “play-in” games. The final four tournament will take place in Berlin this season.
