Toyota boasted a world record set by the Toyota Mirai hydrogen in August in California. One of the few serial hydrogen models managed to cover the distance of 1360 kilometers with one tank.
This was confirmed by an authorized person from the Guinness Book of Records, who personally checked the filling at the beginning of the trip and made sure that the tank was not opened. Toyota also boasts that the initial charge of the Mirai took only five minutes.
–The 1360-kilometer distance was covered in two days, with 761 kilometers on the first day and the remaining 599 on the second day, with the route including Los Angeles and San Diego at one of their busiest hours. Toyota says the Mirai consumed 5.65 kilograms of hydrogen and did not emit any harmful emissions, unlike a conventional car, which would emit about 300 kilograms of carbon dioxide over the same distance.
