Zimmer has already collaborated with BMW on the starting sound of existing electric cars, for example the iX3 model also offers sound accompaniment during rapid acceleration, but is preparing new tones for the i4 models and the iX flagship SUV. For the first M-model for electricity, the sharp version of the i4, he also designed a special sound, which the Munich carmaker presents.

“Each BMW has its own character, which is reflected in its sound,” says the Oscar winner. “So for the electrically powered BMW M models, we’ve developed the sound of the drive system, which particularly vividly emphasizes their emotional driving experience and ensures that their performance can be experienced even more intensely.”
