Residents of the village of Kobay in the Russian region of Yakutia, engulfed in forest fires, captured on video an unusual phenomenon. The footage was posted on YouTube, Blitz writes.
The video, sent by an eyewitness, shows ash falling from the sky and covering the entire earth. The ashes and smoke falling from the sky at the same time obscure the sun and turn the day into a gloomy and frightening night.
Locals believe that the sun has disappeared from the sky due to the strong forest fires that are currently raging on the Kobyai-Bes-Kuel road. The sun has also disappeared in the village of Bagadya.
According to Roman Vilfand, head of the Hydrometeorological Center, the fires in Yakutia were caused by unusually hot weather as well as anticyclones. After all, scientists blame global warming for what is happening now, not only there, but in much of Europe.
