Rock’n’Berry Collaborates with Ukrainian Singer Anastasia Vasilenko on New Song ‘Повернэшся’

The Latvian group “Rock’n’Berry” submitted a collaboration with the Ukrainian singer Anastasia Vasilenko – the song “Повернэшся” in Ukrainian.

The song is about love, trust and mutual expectations. The authors of its music are “Rock’n’Berry” and Roberts Memmens (“Other Boys”), and the text is written by the talented poet Sergey Khudin, born in Kiev, but living in Florida for 35 years.

The singer Anastasia Vasilenko from Ukraine came to us in 2022, when Russia launched a full invasion of Ukraine – before that she worked at the Mariupol Drama Theater. The singer came to Latvia with her daughter and her mother, but her husband and father stayed in Ukraine. In Latvia, she continues to write her songs both in Ukrainian and in Latvian, as well as several collaborations with our groups, which are together with “Rock’n’Berry”.

“I heard about Anastasia for the first time while watching our very own “X Factor”. At that time, she was strongly remembered for her voice and performance, so I thought that maybe someday we could create a collaboration as well. And look – it has happened!” says Oskars Miller, the soloist of the band “Rock’n’Berry”. “I am very happy that Anastasia responded to our invitation to sing a song together, and there the Ukrainian. It was very easy to work with Anastasia, and the whole process of creating the song was very smooth and, of course, interesting. We will keep our fingers crossed for the victory of the Ukraine every day, following current events and supporting Ukrainians in any way we can – donating clothes, financial support and – yes, also creating songs in Ukrainian to show our faith, unity and support for Ukraine. I’m pretty sure this is not our only song in Ukrainian.”

“When I was invited by the group to sing a song together, I didn’t hesitate for a second. As a singer who came to Latvia relatively recently, I am very honored that my talent is noticed and appreciated here. And I really hope that the people of Latvia and Ukraine will like the song!” Anastasia does not hide her joy at the collaboration.
