“I can guarantee that, unfortunately, the salinity will increase. Our small rivers: Molochnaya, Korsak and others are covered up. Farmers are massively building dams on them. There is no discharge of fresh water into the sea. The rivers need to be cleaned! This year we are asking the regional council to buy us a milling dredger. If the issue is resolved, first of all, we will begin to clean the Milk River, then we will go to the float of the Berda River”, – says the director of the Priazovsky National Natural Park Dmitry Volovik.
Also in the Sea of Azov from the Black waters came herring – the food supply of the dolphin.
Unfortunately, the increase in water salinity has a detrimental effect on the amount of fish stocks. The goby and the pike perch are gone.
