PHOTOS AND VIDEOS⟩ In Russia 13 people died when a warplane crashed in a residential area

At the time of the crash, the plane was carrying a full combat kit, which exploded after the crash. Following the explosion, the fire spread to the adjacent multi-storey building, several explosions also damaged it.

At least 13 people were reported to have died, including three children.

“Rescuers have finished searching in the rubble. In total, 13 people died, including three children, and another 19 people were injured,” Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The regional department of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies reported Monday evening that the apartments on the first to fifth floors of the multi-story building caught fire. In total, at least 45 apartments were damaged in the fire.

A military jet reportedly crashed into a residential building in the port city of Yeysk, Krasnodar Oblast.

According to the information available to the Russian news agency “Interfax”, the fire completely occupied one of the entrances of the apartment building, the ceiling collapsed on several floors of the building. The rescue services also report on the victims.
