The “Golden Fly” award ceremony attracted the attention of candidates and industry professionals, some of whom were intrigued enough and brave enough to attend the ceremony.

At the “Golden Fly” awards ceremony, the anonymous jury’s awards were divided into the following categories:

● Coach / Director of the Year – Theater Director Daile Juris Žagars, who is honest and does nothing, because in his theater Petrenko’s play is staged naked by an Estonian and Rešetina’s by an Englishwoman.

● Director of the year, who knows what he wants – Mārtiņš Meiers and “Festival of other songs” at the Valmiera summer theater festival. M. Meiers knows that he wants to be like Smilģis; consequently – on a stage there are two cars, several choirs, an orchestra, Sandis Runge and a group of painted students who do not understand what they are doing.

● Identity Crisis of the Year – Igor Shelegovskis, who adopts a nickname and starts rapping.

● The most open artist of the year – Arturs Krūzkops, who has already appeared naked in countless roles this year and next year, mainly at the Latvian National Theater.

● The show of the year, which we did not understand – “Grimmi” in the Liepāja theater, directed by Elmārs Senkovs. Why don’t they speak in a way that can at least be understood?
