“Moskvich” car factory in Moscow is located where “Renault” previously created its vehicles. Access to the area is currently restricted.

The car manufacturer started mass production of the new “Moskvich 3” at the end of 2022, but the first models reached the population already at the beginning of 2023. As the car manufacturer himself stated, the next batch of “Moskvich 3” is expected at the beginning of March.

Also, the company warned that the second batch of “Moskvich 3” that will arrive at car centers will be more expensive. The Moscow authorities have also considered the possibility of purchasing the new vehicles for state needs.

In fact, these vehicles are the “Moskvich”-branded version of the Chinese JAC JS4. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin and Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov took part in the production start-up ceremony.

It has already been reported that the Russian state-controlled media in July proudly reported on the news of the revival of the once famous car brand “Moskvich”, however, as it turned out in the end, the upcoming “Moskvichs” are nothing more than the models of the Chinese car manufacturer, whose images the Russian side used in its presentation without relevant Chinese company news.

Russian media indicated that the new SUV “Moskvich 3” costs almost two million rubles, which is a little more than 26,200 euros. Compared to other similar vehicles, “Moskvich 3” is quite expensive. For example, “Dacia Duster” costs less than 16,000 euros, “Peugeot 2008” costs 24,300 euros, and “Volkswagen T-Cross” – from 24,000 euros.

This is the first model to hit the factory assembly line at the renovated Moskvich factory. According to the manufacturer, the car will be produced in five different colors – white, black, red, gray and light blue.
