The band “Placebo” was founded in 1994, when singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Brian Molko met guitarist Stefan Olsdal. With 13 million records sold in 25 years, Placebo is one of the leading alternative rock associations.

The warm-ups of the “Placebo” concert will be “Sibyl Vane” from last year and “Purple Negative” from Riga.

Toniņa points out that “Sibyl Vane” combines indipop with post-bank and 90’s alternative rock elements. The band’s sound acquires its individuality thanks to the voice and image of Helena Randlaht, the leader of the association – vocalist, songwriter and guitarist.

“Purple Negative” is an indie and alternative rock band from Riga. The association has been acclaimed for introducing singles such as “Your Ignorance” and “Fluorescent Lights”. In September 2020, the band unveiled the single “Happy Once a Year” and the mini-album “Happy”, which was made at the Hodila Records studio. The group consists of Elīza Daine, Roberts Gromovs, Rūdolfs Roļskijs and Emīls Lapiņš.
