On the spot in the Liepāja Concert Hall, the audience listened to both the piano solo by Georg Pelēčs, a masterpiece of deep and thoughtful interpretations by pianist Reinis Zariņš, and Pēteris Vasks’ Landscape with Birds, performed solo by our outstanding flutist Dita Kren.

Together with the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Normunds Šnē, Reinis Zariņš also performed Johann Sebastian Bach’s Piano Concerto in reminor BWV1052, and Dita Krenberg’s virtuoso Frank Martin Ballad for flute and string orchestra.

In the performance of organist Iveta Apkalna, the audience had the opportunity to hear Pauls Hindemita’s Chamber Music No. 7 organ and orchestra, but at the end of the concert this one of the world’s most notable soloists – instrumentalists solo performed in the iconic Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Tokato and Fugue Reminora”, introduced by significant conference words: “Even on the darkest night the light shines, the darkness has not prevailed. ”
