With the program of the National Bank Juntos al Amanecer, through its working capital component, in 2020 resources for a total of ¢ 2,602 million were granted to clients in tourism and transportation activities.

The demand for credit was $ 90 million for investment and $ 2.56 million for working capital.

Thanks to the extension of the deadline for entities to grant payment arrangements to their debtors until December 31, 2021, made by the National Council for the Supervision of the Financial System (Conassif), the support may be extended.

“Although more than 80% of the tourism portfolio has had extensions, the new Conassif guidelines offer us an important way to continue this support, face the expiration of extended operations and continue to offer relief to our important tourism industry, giving new oxygen to all the numerous related businesses and their families, ”said Allan Calderón, Deputy General Manager of Credit and Risk at Banco Nacional.

Readjustments of current credits, refinancing of debts under favorable conditions that facilitate the attention of obligations with terms of up to 20 years, grace periods, financing of judicial and notarial expenses, among others, are some of the options offered by Banco Nacional for this year, to affected tourist entrepreneurs.
