Polish volleyball players in the tie-break they could do something extraordinary. They were already on the shoulder blades, because they were losing 2: 8. Even so, they managed to get up and started playing fantastic and catching up. After a broken attack the greatest Italian star – Alessandro Michieletto there was a tie 12:12. Then Stefani successfully completed the attack from the left wing. In the next, long action, the white and reds touched the net. Bartosz Gomułka was blocked from the match ball.

The Poles were great at block playing
The first set was matched to 12:11 for Italians. Then there was a crucial moment. Poles scored five points in a row. They played very well in the block during this period (four points this way in this set) and blocking and were effective in counterattacks. The hosts, however, were able to come closer by two points. Such an advantage was still at 18:20. Then, however, the Polish team took advantage of the mistakes (12-4 in this game), the ineffectiveness of their rivals and scored three points in a row.
In the second game, the team led by Daniel Pliński again impressed with block (5) and effectiveness in attack. The Italians risked the service, but kept making mistakes. In addition, they also had a handicap in attack. After two sets they made 23 mistakes and the Poles only 10. The Polish team jumped back again in the middle of the set. From 13:12 they took the high lead by 17:12.
Michieletto took matters into his own hands
The Poles would probably like to forget about the third set as soon as possible, because they stopped completely. It is enough to write that they played badly in every element of volleyball and scored only eleven points. In this party, they did not score any more with the block. And in the Italian team, Alessandro Michieletto was thriving. And that was another bad news for our team.
Michieletto and Tommaso Stefani also led the Italians to victory in the fourth set. In it, the hosts of the tournament played great in the ending. From 21:20 they did not allow the Poles to get a point.
Michieletto and Stefani scored the most points in the match – 22 and 17, respectively. Antoni Kwasigroch and Karol Urbanowicz were the most successful Poles (12 and 11).
In the final, the Italian team will play against Russia, which in the second semi-final won against Argentina 3: 0 (27:25, 28:26, 25:17)
