Indonesian internet speed in the world still just like that. At least that’s according to the latest report Speedtest Global Index in August 2021.
Last August, Indonesia’s mobile internet download speed was at 21.96 Mbps. This speed figure is lower than July which touched 22.14 Mbps. As a result, Indonesia’s position fell two places at number 112 out of 140 countries.
Compared to countries in the Southeast Asian region, Indonesian internet speed no better than Cambodia 23.71 Mbps (104), Malaysia 29.14 Mbps (89), Laos 32.04 Mbps (82), Philippines 33.77 Mbps (73), Vietnam 41.16 Mbps (57), Thailand 49.37 Mbps (50), Brunei Darussalam 61.85 Mbps (36), and Singapore 91.75 Mbps (18).
Different from connection internet mobile downloads are crawling down, fixed broadband internet connections have actually increased from the previous month.
Indonesia’s fixed broadband internet download speed reaches 26.95 Mbps. In July, the internet speed was 25.58 Mbps. As a result, Indonesia’s position rose five ranks at number 114 out of 180 countries.
Indonesia is better than Cambodia at 25.82 Mbps (120), but still lagging behind Brunei Darussalam at 33.94 Mbps (105), Laos at 47.01 Mbps (87), the Philippines at 72.56 Mbps (63), Vietnam at 75.30 Mbps (59), Malaysia (103.28 Mbps), Thailand 221 Mbps (5), and Singapore 262.20 Mbps (1).

Overall, the August 2021 Speedtest Global Index shows speed internet Global downloads in the mobile category reached 56.74 Mbps, internet upload speed of 12.61 Mbps, and latency of 37 ms.
Meanwhile, global fixed broadband internet speed for downloads reached 110.24 Mbps, internet upload speed was 60.13 Mbps, and latency was 19 ms.
