According to him, the DB is trying not to close doors and bridges, but a red line has been set in the coalition agreement of the right-wing formation:
“We do not support a government with a BSP mandate. However, now the situation is new. Ganev admitted that there are ministers from the official cabinet who like the DB – such as Kiril Petkov, Asen Vassilev and Prof. Nikolay Denkov. But there are others – such as the Minister of Energy and Transport, who, if proposed by the BSP, will be “significantly more hesitant” than the DB.
In connection with the budget update adopted at first reading today, Ganev expressed concern that at some points the deputies showed a joking attitude on a serious topic.
“Sparks were flying, in which there is nothing wrong. I think that the good tone was not skipped today, unlike other days in parliament. There is serious parliamentary support for the update,” Ganev said, pointing out that the main argument for this support is the planned suspension of the BGN 50 allowance and the “60/40” measure, which the caretaker government is trying to keep.

Ganev also clarified that there is no final decision on pensions, and 3 proposals will be discussed at second reading:
The oldest proposal is of the BSP and IBGNI, which wants to recalculate the insurance income for 2018. The stated goal is to reduce the so-called “scissors” between pensions for otherwise identical people – worked with the same length of service and with the same insurance income, but with very different pensions due to the different retirement date.
The proposal later, during the team of Minister Vassilev, includes an increase in the coefficient for a year of service, in which all pensions are raised by an average of BGN 65 and covers all pensioners. The first covers only some of them.
