Companies say goodbye with a funeral notice
In a funeral announcement, both companies said goodbye to the founder’s grandson on Thursday: “With exemplary commitment, a pronounced sense of responsibility, honesty and reliability, he has earned a lasting reputation inside and outside our company,” it says. The family’s bereavement report referred to a “long, serious illness” as the cause of death.
Among other things, Frank Dassler was an advocate for the sporting goods industry. After leaving Adidas in 2018, he continued to represent the company with his Hamburg law firm in industrial associations. Until recently, Dassler was president of the European Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) and board member of the World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI).
