“The South Bohemian Region is one of the few green, which is good news for us,” Kvetoslava Kotrbová, director of the Regional Hygiene Station of the South Bohemian Region, told Práva, noting that the situation may change next week.
–
“So far we have a favorable balance at the traffic light, but the number of patients is still increasing. The coronavirus has already appeared in more than ninety South Bohemian schools, the worst situation is in the Budějovice and Tábor regions, “stated Kotrbová.

They have orange, but they keep going
In all schools from the second stage of primary schools, the regulation to wear a veil for the entire duration of teaching is already in force. “Of course, the situation is good for us so far, because no teaching can replace classic lectures, even at the cost of having veils. However, we have also prepared reserve variants of online teaching, “stated Antonín Sekyrka, director of the Česká Grammar School in České Budějovice.

In the Liberec Region, classical full-time teaching continues at all types of schools, including art schools, and will continue to apply next week. On Friday, Filip Trdla, a spokesman for the Liberec Regional Authority, also informed representatives of the management of some municipalities.
–
“The Liberec region as a whole belongs to the green zone and with the exception of Liberec, all districts in the region are stabilized at the so-called traffic light. Therefore, the only epidemiological measure in secondary schools administered by the region will be a ban on singing and physical education, “said Trdla.

Practically the same applies to primary schools. For example, Liberec, which has a population of 100,000, has already confirmed that all its primary schools will remain open.

In the Olomouc region, secondary schools as well as universities, colleges and art schools will be open on Mondays, although most of the region is marked in orange on the covid traffic light map, which marks the beginning of community virus transmission.
–
According to Andrea Škurková from the Olomouc Regional Hygiene Station, there is no reason to close schools. “We evaluated the current epidemiological situation in such a way that there is no community transmission of the virus yet and there is no risk within schools, due to which we would have to close them,” Škurková told Práva.
–
However, hygienists in the region issued a regulation with effect from Monday, which restricts singing lessons in all types of schools with the exception of kindergartens. Sports activities will not be possible in all schools, except for the first stages of primary schools and kindergartens.
–
In the Hradec Králové Region, despite the growing number of infections with the new type of coronavirus, there is currently no general restriction on school education in any district. This was confirmed by Sylvie Adamcová, a spokeswoman for the regional office. Likewise, for example, Hradec Králové is not planning to close its primary schools.
–
“However, from Monday for 14 days, the teaching of singing will be prohibited in all types of schools, with the exception of kindergartens, and in school facilities such as children’s and youth homes or school clubs. As far as sports activities are concerned, their teaching will be banned in all types of schools, with the exception of kindergartens and primary schools, “added Veronika Krejčí, spokeswoman for regional hygiene, adding that in most cases the disease can still be identified.

Although the Czech coronavirus traffic light shows two of the five districts of the Vysočina Region in green, secondary and higher schools are closing from Monday throughout the region.

The district scale is no longer enough for covid
According to the director of the section of protection and support of public health of regional hygiene Jiří Kos, the extent and frequency of the disease are already there to such an extent that the minimum unit of measure is the region. In addition, high school and older students often migrate between districts.
–
“Due to the long-term increased incidence and increased number of cases in senior population groups, the Vysočina Region was included in the emergency level of two, so-called orange zones,” said Jiří Kos. The regulation issued on Thursday by the Regional Hygiene was also consulted with the Ministry of Health.
–
The same fate befell the Ústí nad Labem region. According to the regulations of the Regional Hygiene Station, secondary schools will be closed from Monday for 14 days in the entire Ústí nad Labem Region. In the region, at the so-called traffic light, three districts have so far been in the green state of alert, but according to hygienists, due to the spreading disease, they will all be in the “orange”, such as Ústí, Litoměřice, Děčín and Teplice.
–
In the districts of Ústí nad Labem, Litoměřice and Děčín, there is an increase in the number of cases without a known source of infection, which, according to hygienists, indicates the risk of community spread of the disease, but still on the verge of controllability. The situation is worse in the hitherto “green” districts of Most, Chomutov and Louny.
