Egy Maulana has started training with Senica since officially joining on August 31, 2021. Egy Maulana’s presence at the club was immediately felt through the surge of followers on Senica’s Instagram.
As of Thursday (9/9) at 19.00 WIB, the Slovak League club’s Instagram followers touched 70,700 people. The club also uses their social media as an information tool for supporters.
Senica also took advantage of their skyrocketing number of followers by uploading team training activities. One of the uploads on the club’s Insta Story is the action of Egy Maulana Vikri.
In one of the moments of shooting practice on goal, Egy managed to score a beautiful goal through a measured left foot kick that has been his trademark.
The goal that Egy scored was special, because the two previous kickers could still be blocked by the goalkeeper Senica. Meanwhile, Egy’s curved kick towards the top right corner of the goal could not be dammed by the goalkeeper.
Egy has indeed become one of the players who has become a magnet for fans, especially from Indonesia. Egy’s previous club, Lechia Gdansk, also often uploads Egy’s activities in training sessions to gain sympathy from Indonesian fans.

However, Egy’s popularity on Lechia Gdansk’s social media is not directly proportional on the field. The Indonesian national team striker had minimal opportunity to play for three seasons in Poland.
Egy recorded only 10 appearances from the bench in the Polish League. Now, the Medan-born player is looking for new fortunes with Senica in the Slovak League.
He hopes to get more opportunities to play with Senica rather than being a sweetener on the bench like his experience at Lechia Gdansk.
