The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, who joined Saudi Arabia in January, later missed a chance for a hat-trick on penalties by giving way to team-mate Abdulrahman Ghareeb, who missed his shot.
Ronaldo scored Sadio Mané’s third in the 40th minute as the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich striker scored three goals in the last two games.

After Ronaldo almost scored another hat-trick with a header against the post, Sultan Al-Ghannam converted the rebound in the 79th minute to round off the goal. At this point, Al Shabab was down to 10 players after Éver Banega was shown a red card.
On Tuesday, former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez helped Al Ahli to their fourth of four wins in the season-opener with a 39th-minute goal against Al Tai. Former Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessié secured the result with a second-half goal.
There was also a 1-0 win for Al Taawoun at Al Okhdood and draws between Damac and Al Fateh and Al Khaleej and Al Hazem.
Al Ahli is level with Al Ittihad at the top of the table, while Al Nassr is sixth after losing their first two games.
