Choreographer Bae Yoon-jung admitted to watching the drama through an illegal streaming site and apologized on the 15th.
The start of the incident was an article and a short video that Bae Yoon-jung posted on his social media (SNS) on the 13th. The video uploaded with the article “Just play a game” contained the image of her husband watching the SBS drama’Penthouse’.
The drama on the screen included Chinese subtitles. In response, netizens raised suspicion that Bae Yoon-jung used Korean drama files that were illegally distributed on Chinese sites. Bae Yoon-jung deleted the video, but as the controversy continued, he apologized.
Bae Yoon-jung explained, “My husband accessed a site where related information was posted while searching for TV replays on a mobile phone, and without properly recognizing that it was an illegal site, I connected to the TV and filmed and uploaded the part that I saw through streaming.” .
