Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced signed an emergency declaration this afternoon due to the passage of Tropical Storm Laura.
He also urged citizens today to move to shelters or safe places if they live in areas prone to flooding since Storm Laura will bring about 6 to 9 inches of rain.

The municipalities are Arroyo, Comerío, Trujillo Alto and Juana Díaz.
“Ideally, after 10 pm there should be no citizen on the streets of Puerto Rico except those who are seeking refuge,” said Vázquez Garced.
