Hair of Pope John Paul II officially inaugurated in Dadizele Basilica

Dadizele’s basilica was unexpectedly given the relic as a gift last year. It concerns some hairs of the Pope John Paul II.

Dadizele priest, Wim Vangheluwe, thought it was very important to give the relic a beautiful place in the basilica. He collected money to have a new altar made so that it would come into its own. With some delay, the relic is now officially inaugurated. About 200 believers were present.
