« I would like to extend my condolences to the basketball family for the disappearance of the great Ablaye Seye Moreau, who disappeared forever this morning very early, a great loss for the world of basketball. A gentleman who served basketball, who sacrificed himself for the basketball of his country Senegal and the world basketball. 1st Senegalese to have directed world basketball, this deserves to be underlined.
I would like, at the Saint-Louis Basket Club and in my own name, to send my sincere condolences to his family, to his sister Astou Seye 1st vice-president of Saint-Louis Basket, to the mayor of Saint-Louis M. Mansour Faye to all the population of Saint-Louis, the basketball family, the president of the basketball federation and basketball supporters. May the earth be light to him and may God have mercy on his soul.
