Diablo II: Resurrected Player Seeks Revenge in Epic Betrayal Story

Revenge is a dish that should be served cold even in Hell. Portal PC Gamer drew attention to the story of a Diablo II: Resurrected player under the nickname KrimzontheRed (or simply Krimzon), who waited in the wings.

The story began in April, when a group of players in the heroic mode of Diablo II: Resurrected (where the character is lost forever if killed) openly set up KrimzontheRed, sending him to certain death.

KrimzontheRed, being an inexperienced “hardcore” player, did not notice the catch and lost his level 70 barbarian almost instantly. The hero of the story broke up with the offenders, remembering their gaming pseudonyms.

Having recovered from his disappointing failure in September, Krimzon returned to the hardcore mode of Diablo II: Resurrected, and in October he met Gwyneth, one of the participants in the April betrayal.

Gwyneth recognized his former victim and pretended to be innocent, although he openly mocked Krimzon after his fall in April. The task was clear: “Take revenge. Kill Gwyneth”.

Over the next couple of months, Krimzon gained the trust of Gwyneth, invited him to joint games, trained with friends in PvP (he wanted to kill the offender personally and cleanly, without dirty tricks) and waited for his moment on December 5th.

Krimzon caught Gwyneth leaving the Pandemonium fortress and, activating hostility, destroyed his level 97 assassin in two Whirlwinds. “Now we’re even”wrote Krimzon in response to the question “For what, dude?” in chat.

“I have mixed feelings — Krimzon shares. — I killed a guy I lulled into a false sense of security. He feels betrayed and I understand that. The weeks, even months, he had invested in this character were destroyed in a second. I’m partly sorry, but there’s a valuable lesson in this story: don’t be a jerk.”.

Krimzon vowed to never kill an innocent player again, but he still has “several Yet” the man who sent his first hardcore character to his death in April.
