It was around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3 that the Côte-d’Or firefighters received the alert. A car and a heavy vehicle collided on Highway 31 in the Nancy-Beaune direction. The accident occurred while a violent thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rain and hail raged over the Selongey region. The car registered in the Rhône department may have been the victim of aquaplaning. The investigation opened by the gendarmerie should clarify this.
A very heavy toll

Two other children, a 10 year old boy and a 7 year old girl are more slightly affected. The truck driver is unharmed but very shocked.
