It is reported that the man, surnamed Qian, began stealing clothes from the store for resale when he was the manager of a UNIQLO branch in Shanghai in 2018. When he was promoted to district manager in 2020, he even used his power to evade various inspections. However, in the end his crime was exposed. After investigation by the police, he found that he stole more than 800 pieces of UNIQLO clothing, of which more than 600 pieces have been sold, with a total profit of more than 600,000 yuan. He has been arrested on suspicion of embezzlement.

Because these clothes are all genuine goods and have a good reputation, many buyers have become regular customers. UNIQLO China Branch also stated that it has launched an internal investigation and strengthened supervision and management to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
