Aliocha Reinert nominated for the César for Best Male Newcomer

The news just came ! The 14-year-old young actor Aliocha Reinert is nominated for the César for Best Male Newcomer for his role in the film by Forbachois Samuel Theis Petite Nature , released in March 2022. In this second feature film by the director from the coalfield, he plays Johnny, a schoolboy from a housing estate in Forbach, who falls in love with his teacher. The latter is embodied by the Lorraine actor Antoine Reinartz.

11 years old during filming

The young boy, originally from Nancy, began by taking dance lessons at the conservatory. While filming for the film by Samuel Theis in 2019, he was then 11 years old. The feature film was shot in Forbach. Aliocha Reinert’s performance had been widely noticed and had earned him numerous articles and portraits in the national press.

Petite Nature is director Samuel Theis’ second feature film, after Party Girl, which won the Camera d’Or at Cannes in 2014. The film won first prize at the 62nd Thessaloniki Film Festival in Greece in November 2021.

The Cesar 2023 ceremony, chaired by Tahar Rahim, will take place on February 24.
