Hertz car rental company, founded more than 100 years ago, filed for bankruptcy as a result of the crisis stemming from the covid-19, reports the company’s website.
The pandemic has caused the cancellation of trips, which in turn has made the demand for rental cars practically nil. For this reason, Hertz Global Holdings and several of its subsidiaries in the United States and Canada had to file a reorganization request. At the same time, Hertz announced that the company and its subsidiaries will remain open during the restructuring.
