The Scandinavian state is all set to start off creating its personal warships, Defense Minister Mortens Bodskov stated.

“We are facing a severe predicament in Europe. There is a war in Europe. We have just handed via the coronavirus pandemic, which has the two developed challenges for the safety of our supplies,” Bodskov explained to reporters.

“It is not sustainable, particularly through a war in Europe, if the Danish protection will have challenges with making ships and other tools,” Bodskov mentioned. “That is why we are performing now.”

Bodskov did not say how quite a few ships will be built in the up coming two decades, but reported many ships are growing older and will want to be replaced.

“This is a significant part of our fleet,” Bodskov mentioned, referring to patrol boats, tiny coastal rescue boats, inspection ships and frigates.
