Malaysia U-16 national team coach Osmera bin Omaro assesses Indonesian National Team U-16 chance to be a champion AFF U-16 Cup 2022.
Osmera sees that Indonesia has advantages that other countries do not have in the age group event in Yogyakarta.
“I think Indonesia will win this tournament because they have the support of the fans,” said Osmera.

According to him, the support of the fans in the stadium will encourage the home players.
Besides Osmera, the coach of the Australian U-16 national team, Michael Cooper, also considered that the Bima Sakti team deserved to advance to the final.
Cooper focused on the game and the good physique of Muhammad Nabil Asyura and his friends became its own points. But Cooper also assessed that Vietnam’s presence in the semifinals would give another color.
“So I think Indonesia will go to the final. However, Vietnam is also in the semifinals and that makes this competition interesting,” Cooper said as quoted by Antara.
Malaysia and Australia failed to advance to the knockout stages of the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup because they were unable to compete with Myanmar in Group C. Malaysia only finished second and Australia was bottom of Group C.
The Indonesian U-16 national team will face Myanmar in the semifinals which will take place at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Wednesday (10/8) night.
Meanwhile, in the other semifinal, Vietnam will meet Thailand in the same match venue on Wednesday (10/8) afternoon.
