Today comes to Netflix the second part of the fourth season of Stranger Thingsthe series that for years has been a unique event around the world on the streaming platform. We talk to Sadie Sinkwithout a doubt who has one of the strongest characters this time, about his experience, growth and what will be seen in this second installment.

-This is a difficult season for you on an emotional level, because there is a lot of growth and suffering of your character. How did you prepare for that?

-I am immensely grateful to the Duffer brothers for trusting me to tackle Max’s story this season. Being able to develop the different facets of it is a real honor. This season is undoubtedly the most difficult I have done. The expectations are much higher. It is not only exhausting on an emotional level, but also on a physical level. I was very happy to be able to get to know Max a little more and show the public other facets of her, different aspects that we had not yet explored.

-What do you like most about playing Max?

-As soon as I received the proposal in season 2, when I was 14 years old, I felt an immediate connection with the character, and also admiration. She is self-confident, strong and cool. In this new season, we will see how resilient he is. It was an honor to play her.

-This season you change schools…

-Yes! It’s fun to draw from my own experiences, from when I was a freshman. We see that everyone grows and leaves behind to some friendships, some relationships and even things that used to interest them. Lucas now hangs out with the cool kids on the basketball team. They are all changing. They are growing. And not only are they dealing with the usual school stuff and the difficulties of growing up, but they also have to fight supernatural monsters from another dimension.

-What can you say about the way the series combines drama, horror, action and comedy?

-That is something that the series always achieved very well; having all these supernatural and horror elements, but also balancing them with drama, romance and comedy. It’s so much fun to watch. This season goes further, taking the horror elements to the next level, and at the same time the tender and fun moments are kept at the center of the plot. I am beyond impressed with how they managed to navigate this season with all of these genres.

-What was the most exciting moment for Max this season?

-Max is a very strong and independent girl, that’s why I love that her most vulnerable side is highlighted. I had a lot of opportunities to do that this season. It’s nice to see that side of her, when she opens up more to share what’s really going on with her. It was very rewarding to be able to do that on set, and access that part of her. I think the most important thing I take away from Max and what I learned from her this season is her strength and what she is willing to sacrifice for her friends.

-Can you tell us who you worked with in the group that remains in Hawkins? What is the dynamic in the filming?

-This new season was the one I liked to film the most, simply because I adore the entire cast. I feel like this particular group had the most fun, and the sets were awesome. It’s always fun to be with them on crazy sets, doing amazing series like this. But there is something about this season that made it very special. In my group we were with Maya Hawke, Joseph Quinn, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Priah Ferguson and Caleb McLaughlin, and that was the main group for Hawkins. Y At this point we are all like a family. It was so beautiful to be with them this season and to be able to film with them, especially some of the older cast members. He hadn’t had the chance to work with them that much before.

-What do you think of the fan community that Stranger Things has and their loyalty?

-It really impresses me. They’ve waited so long for this fourth season, and they’re still as excited as ever. They are very patient. We have some lovely, amazing fans and they continue to grow in number. We all in the show are very lucky to have such a loyal fan community. We love working knowing that there are so many people who are waiting for this.
