The new rule will come into effect on May 27. Cars with foreign registration will not be able to get gasoline at gas stations. The government explained that in this way it would fight “gasoline tourism”, which threatens the security of fuel supplies.
It is worth noting that in Hungary fuel prices are now frozen, so foreigners often abuse this opportunity.
