Every day, Public Health France publishes the figures on the evolution of the coronavirus epidemic in France and in the departments. These data are transmitted by each hospital daily.

The deaths mentioned by Santé Publique France only occurred in the hospital system. These figures do not take into account people who died as a result of Covid-19 in institutions for dependent elderly people (EHPAD) and in their homes.

However, these figures allow us to imagine the evolution of the epidemic day by day in Paris and to compare it with other departments.

On the same date, 468 people were still in intensive care after contracting the virus in Paris.

This is 34 fewer people than the day before, April 28, 2020. In Paris, this equates to 2 per 10,000 inhabitants. By way of comparison, this is 2 cases per 10,000 inhabitants in Paris, the French department which has suffered the most deaths, and 3 in Ile-de-France, to which Paris belongs.

1,446 deaths in hospital in Paris

To date, 1446 people have died in the hospital system after contracting Covid-19 in Paris.

On April 29, 2020, 34 more people were reported by the authorities than the day before, in Paris.
